What The Experts Swear By On Vacation
We’re always curious to hear how our community balances staying healthy, grounded and happy whilst travelling, so we’ve talked to some of our favourite lifestyle gurus to hear how they keep the joy. If you’re going on holiday for the long weekend, here are some travel hacks to follow.
WHAT I DO: My health hack when travelling is to bring 3 things with me that help me keep up my morning ritual. These are quick and easy to do anywhere (even with children running around) and are mega effective. They keep me feeling energised, joyful and creative: my body brush for dry skin brushing, my meditation app @op_e__n for a quick bit of headspace and my yoga mat for some houseparty flows @allez.team.
WHAT I TAKE: I love to travel with Cellular Hydration for my go-to electrolyte and magnesium fix and a boost of hydration, especially when travelling in a hot climate. I just ordered Deep Detox to try out post-holiday because it's great to help reboot after a week of indulgence à la française.
WHAT I DO: I ALWAYS wear SPF 50. I get out early in the sun to soak up some Vitamin D before it gets on & then it’s hat/shirt for the day. I also love open water swimming so when on holiday we tend to gravitate towards somewhere on the coast. No matter what the weather, we’re in the water both the morning and evening. It’s so good for the soul.
WHAT I TAKE: Lots of jewelry so I can style up looks without excess baggage.
HOW I WORKOUT: A must-have for me when I travel is an exercise band and Bala ankle weights. I pack them in my hand luggage and they are both so versatile. It means I can stay consistent with my routine when I’m away for my mind and body.
WHAT I TAKE: I always travel with the Cellular Hydration powder. Naturally when you are on holiday in the sun you are more dehydrated, so I love to take this on the go with me and add it to water or my juice in the morning. It’s so important to replenish your electrolytes. I also find it gives me a boost in energy levels.
WHAT I DO: When I go away I always stick to 4 things – drinking water and lemon first thing in the morning, continuing with my supplements daily, doing a 30mn workout per day, and getting plenty of sleep. These are so important to me that I wouldn’t trade them for the world, even on holidays, because they keep me feeling grounded and healthy. I allow myself all the treats, but these are non-negotiable.
WHAT I TAKE: I started taking Essential GLA three months ago and the results have been incredible. I wouldn’t have travelled without it this summer. I have a history of endometriosis and intense bloating during PMS, very strong pain and mood swings. Since taking Essential GLA, I have noticed such an improvement in my cycle. It’s just mind-blowing. I can only recommend it if you are suffering from hormonal imbalance and PMS symptoms. I won’t go anywhere without it now.
