Yes. Because of the purity of our formula and the omission of synthetic fillers and emulsifiers, colour variation is normal, safe, and does not affect the potency of the formula. 

Core Prenatal+ provides comprehensive pre-natal support and contains many specialised ingredients that may be supportive through IVF, like CoQ10. However, it’s important to check with your doctor for contraindications, as each clinic’s protocol and medication regime is different.   

No. Our formula is 100% natural. 

Core Prenatal contains 500mcg of the active, methylated form of Folic, Acid, Folate. You should not need take extra Folic Acid, unless otherwise advised by your doctor.

Folate as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) is the biologically active form of folate your cells actually use. We use this over the synthetic version - Folic Acid - which takes multiple steps to convert to the active form of folate in the body. Some people have common genetic variants that can reduce efficiency of converting folic acid into 5-MTHF, so using 5-MTHF can be a practical way to ensure the active form is available regardless of conversion efficiency.

Contrary to popular belief, Calcium requirements don't increase during pregnancy. Instead, our body undergoes an adaptation that allows us to absorb Calcium more efficiently, which is one of the many reasons it is not in our formula. Blanket Calcium supplementation is not recommended for everyone. Instead, it’s preferable to get your Calcium needs from food. If you have a difficult time getting Calcium from your diet, consult with a Nutritionist, Dietician or Naturopath who can help you modify your nutrition and/or recommend the safest, most gentle form of Calcium for your needs.

We recommend switching to Core Pregnancy+ by the start of your second trimester. Core Prenatal+ is formulated to support you from preconception and conception through the first trimester. If there's a slight delay in making the switch, there's no need to worry - continuing with Core Prenatal+ until you begin Core Pregnancy+ is absolutely fine. Core Prenatal+ is formulated to support you in the preconception window and through the early stages of pregnancy. It's a comprehensive formula that can be taken whilst preparing for pregnancy to support reproductive health and conception, and throughout the first trimester to help meet your changing nutritional needs. It covers your first trimester nutritional requirements, including folic acid (as folate), so if you become pregnant whilst taking it there's no need to worry. Once this happens, you can switch to our pregnancy support - Core Pregnancy+.
